Supporting local families
Happy MOMents works hard to make sure local children and families can access the early support and opportunities they need.
58%
of children in Batley and Dewsbury are living in poverty - well above the national average.
Source: End Child Poverty, 2025This is one of the many reasons why Happy MOMents works hard to ensure that our local children and families are able to access the early support and opportunities that they need.
We are trusted by the local community and know many local families who are struggling due to the Cost of Living Crisis. Many are single parents, have suffered unemployment, may be caring for family members with additional needs, or have difficult personal circumstances.
We offer support in partnership with local organisations and businesses, including the Benevolent Community Fund, to offer essential items - including meat parcels and wellbeing support events - as well as ongoing signposting to local food banks.
